Performed by Corvus in the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival during Composing in the Wilderness 2019
In the summer of 2019 I attended Composing in the Wilderness in Alaska. We explored Denali National Park, learning about its history and ecosystems while admiring stunning vistas and invigorating mountain hikes.
After some days hiking we took a trip to Eielson Visitor Center. When we arrived the air was thick with fog, and we could barely see 20 feet in front of us. Gradually, the fog cleared. By the time we left, we could see enormous mountains miles away. Clouds roll back and the world expands.
