To put it concisely

To put it concisely aims to pack a lot of material into a small ensemble within a short time. Right from the start there is a sense of urgency, of strong forward momentum through the changing landscapes of the (very) loosely palindromic structure. This energy is always kept in check, however; the music is bursting at the seams, we are always on the brink of disintegration, and it is up to the performers to hold everything together.
